How to Write a Good Ehow Article

I have been writing for eHow for a while and I am still learning so much about it. I am starting to understand what really makes money on eHow and what does not. It is a very simple formula and it needs to be followed if you want to start making a solid income from eHow. There are a few ways to earn from eHow as well as ways you can use it to earn from other sites. I will share with you what I have learned so far.

You probably have heard this before, but keywords in your article are very important if you want to make money online. Without good keywords and proper seo optimization, you will not see any page views. If you don't see any page views you will not see any money. That is why it's important to use sites like Wordtracker and Google Adwords Keywords Tool to find words related to the topic of your article. Your keywords should be in your article as well as in your title. Doing this will increase search engine optimization and you will be ranked higher on sites like Yahoo and Google. This is very important because the bulk of your traffic will come from search engines.

Another important thing you should do is make sure your articles are long enough. You can not have short articles because search engines will not pick them up. A good article will probably be anywhere from 400 to 800 words in length. That is enough for the search engines to pick your article up and start making you some extra money. There is no use to writing articles of 100 to 200 words because no one will want to read them. You want readers to spend a good amount of time reading your article so it gives them a chance to click on the advertising.

Speaking about advertising, it is highly important to write articles that are ad friendly. Meaning, you need to write articles so readers will almost have to click on an add or to. The way to do this is by not writing articles that simply give the reader the answers, or all the answers. You still want the readers to keep searching for the answers which makes them want to click on the ads. An example of an article you should not write is "How to tie your shoes" (this is a bad example but it still is clear in helping me get my point across). Writing artilces like this may get your a great number if page views but no one will click on the ads because they have the answer right there on your article. A better article to write about might be "How to invest on the Stock Market," which is a bit more broad in scope. You may not be able to answer all of the readers questions about investing in the stock market but some of the ads along the side of your article will.

You can also add related articles at the end of your eHow article. This will increase your page views and it has the potential of increase your residual income. It will keep the readers on your articles as well so. Another thing you can place in the Related content is affiliate or even referral links. If you are a member of affiliate marketing sites like Commission Junction or Amazon Affiliates you can try and make some income using eHow. For example, after you write your article about how to invest in the stock market you can put affiliate links to books on the stock market from amazon or commission junction. Or, maybe you have reviewed a site which has a referral link, you can place your referral link at the end.

When you think you are not making any money or increase in funds from eHow, keep writing? You need to persevere and just keep writing more articles until you do start earning $400, $700 and over $1000 a month in passive income. Set smaller goals for yourself and keep raising the bar when you reach it.

Sorry About the 2 month Hiatus

Hello again, sorry about the 2 month hiatus from writing on my blog. I have been stacked with work and have been preoccupied with life off the internet. However, I haven't stopped working online I just haven't had time to post on SpillGuy.com. I am going to try and fill you in on what I have been doing and what are my plans for the future.

So I really haven't had time to write a lot but I have been editing and bookmarking my articles online. Most of the sites that I have been doing this are at Ehow, Xomba, and Redgage and Bukisa. I have been bookmarking these articles on Xomba and Redgage while I edited my articles on Xomba, Bukisa and Ehow. Ehow has been kind of a burden because they deleted over a hundred of my articles. However, I didn't lose a lot of earnings income from the clean up (or at least as much as I thought I would).

Editing wise, I have been trying to configure my keywords more and adding related articles at the bottom. I noticed that many of the successful earners from the writing sites place related content at the bottom of there articles. Therefore, I decided that I should do the same with my content. There are some great points in placing related content in your articles; you get a backlink for the articles and it keeps visitors on the site reading your content. The more people staying on your content the higher your earnings will be.

I still have quite a bit of articles to edit and bookmark which is why it might take me a while until I write more articles. I really want to fix all of my articles already online before I continue writing on the sites. Many successful writes say that editing is a vital part in making money online. I have a great deal of articles online that haven't earned me anything as of yet, but since I have been editing and bookmarking them they seem to have gone up a bit. If you haven't editing your articles online you really should give that a try.

Start Using Social Bookmarking to Make Money Online

I said that I would start bookmarking to earn even more money online. Lately, I have been using Xomba's Xomblurbs to really start getting some backlinks and earn more pageviews. In earning more pageviews I have the opportunity to earn more money online. I have been bookmarking a lot of my eHow articles lately. I hope to see a slight increase in earnings as I bookmark more of the articles. I want to have my eHow articles bookmarked on both Xomba and Redgage. This can help me have a backlink, earn more page views, make more money from eHow and make money online from social bookmarking. I will make money either way. It really is a win/win situation.

Honestly, social bookmarking is a great way to increase your earnings on articles. I wish I could have started bookmarking my articles earlier to see my earning grow faster. But, at least I am starting now instead of just talking about it. If you are reading this and are not impressed with your page views you should try and bookmark your content at Xomba or Redgage. You can bookmark anything you want and the best part is you can earn money for that. I was thinking about joining a social bookmarking site like Digg or StumbleUpon but I am online to make money. I have always been looking for ways to make money online. Therefore, if I am going to bookmark something I might as well make money off it.

My Online Article Earning Goals

I've been thinking about my online goals and what I want to achieve with them. I have joined many writing sites and really want to earn a great deal of income with all of them. I know that it is important to write out your goals so you have something to reach for. Therefore, I am writing this to really find a gameplan for what I want to achieve in the short term goals. So here it goes:

Bukisa: It's a fairly new site that I joined a few months back. I am starting to see an increase in earnings but nothing that really has me jumping for joy. My overall goal that I want to achieve by the end of September would be to earn 1,000 page views a day. As of now, it's hard to get over 100 page views. However, with my new experiment on how to earn more money online with article writing I can know I can start really seeing those earnings grow. I've seen many Bukisa articles (including mine) reach the front page of many search engines. So the site is very popular and capable of earning me money online.

Bukisa Goal: 1,000 page views a day by October 1, 2009

Join Bukisa

Xomba: I am really enjoying my earnings from Xomba. I have only been a member and an avid writer for about a month and have already earned over 20 dollars. So I know I can reach my goals of earning 5 dollars a day by the end of September. I am already earning a few cents every day and with my experiment of increase my categories I know I can earn a lot more. I will be writing mostly Xombytes and linking a few articles from my eHow and Bukisa site to help with backlinks and increase search engine rankings.

Xomba Goal: 5 dollars a day by October 1, 2009

Infobarrel: I very nice site that I just started posting articles on. I have actually seen quite a few of my articles end up on the first page of search engines which is great. I am still getting a hang of what Infobarrel accepts for articles so I need to get more use to the site. However, my page views are really great on the site and I have just read a lot of positive feedback with it. I know I can earn about 5 dollars a day using Infobarrel but it may take a bit longer due to the site being fairly new. I have been writing mostly blank articles but I think I will start writing how-to articles. They have better ad placement with how-to articles and I can definitely increase the amount of clicks with it.

Infobarrel Goal: 5 dollars a day by November 1, 2009

eHow: eHow is the first site I started publishing articles on. It is really a great site that has everything a first time writer online needs. With a great forum section full of members that are willing to help you make money online with eHow you can't go wrong. I am already earning over a hundred dollars a month with eHow which is fine. But I know I can earn over 1,000 dollars with all of the success stories I hear from other members. I don't plan on making that any time soon but I know I want to make about 10 dollars a day this year. I plan on expanding the categories I write about on the site and tweak a few articles as well. This will really help me achieve my goals on eHow.

eHow Goals: 10 dollars a day by December 1, 2009

Check out My Ehow Articles

I have my fingers crossed on this. I'll let you know and keep you updated on my progress with my earnings. Hope You enjoyed the post.

eHow Earnings Experiment - Part 1

So I have been writing for eHow for a while and have seen my earnings grow since my joining. However, I must say that I am not very impressed with what I have earned so far. I have over 450 articles on my eHow account but am only reaching above $100 a month. Keep in mind though that my articles are only about a month old. But I am still averaging about 3-5 dollars a day with eHow. My Xomba and Infobarrel earnings for the first month reach a nice 20 dollars. My articles were not even a month old too. I earned the $20 the same month I joined and started writing on Xomba and Infobarrel. Granted, I am a much better online writing now than was when I started with eHow.

I think I will write a few more eHow articles based off the skills I have learned writing on other get paid to write sites. I may even tweak a few articles I think I can earn a bit more with. I remember reading another blog posts that earned them a great increase in earnings just from increasing a few of there articles on eHow.

My hopes for eHow was to be earning a few hundred dollars by now. I still believe in eHow and it's earnings potential. With all of the success stories and high earners on eHow I know I can achieve my goals of earning $1,000 a month with the site. I am going to write a few more articles on eHow and tweek them for SEO optimization this week. I will keep you updated and how much I increase from that.

In the mean while, I am definitely going to increase my articles on Xomba and Infobarrel. I am very happy with my first month on these sites and hope to increase my earnings by almost double. With a month worth of old articles (older the articles the better) and new ones on the way I know I will see big numbers in my Adsense account.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

Ehow Review: Residual Income Online

PictureThen I found this site called Ehow. Ehow, is basically a site where you can write about anything you wanted to. Whatever is on your mind you can write about it (probably not about porn or any X-rated topics though). The catch is, it has to be in a 'How to" format. So basically, you write something where someone gains knowledge on any topic you have some kind of expertise in. You could write "How to make a 3 cheese Omelette," "How to stop being nervous on a date," "How to shave your Armpit Hair," etc. Anything you want to write about, and can put it in a how to format, you can post on Ehow.

There submission format is very easy to use as well as fast. You can choose to write about a topic or do video. The site than will automatically post it (no waiting periods like associated content) for all the world of Internet users to see. The good thing about Ehow is that shows up very high on search engines. You may be surprised to see how many Ehow articles pop up if you are looking for how to do something.

I checked out the forum, which is almost like a great community, and they have a lot of helpful hints and ideas about making more money from the site. The owners of the web site are very interactive with there member and do several contests every few months. They winners of the contests (which there are no limits of how many people can win) receive up front money (the last one people received about 100 dollars) and a gift (the last gift I saw was a free reusable grocery bag with the EHOW label on it) from the team. There are probably thousands of members on the site with probably a handful of "EHOW Stars." These basically are people who are the high earners (earning anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 dollars or more) on the web site. Some of the members even sell ebooks on there own personal web site that help people earn the best money online at Ehow. I have not yet bought any of them but I will (maybe).

I have been apart of Ehow since January 2009 and have only been heavily posting Ehow articles in May 2009. I had around 400 articles by the mid of June and my daily earnings have been going way up. Back in January through April, I would only get a couple cents here and there every week. But as of mid June 2009 my earnings have gone up to $3.50 a day. Now Ehow is a bit secretive on how you earn your income but it is basically on how many people click on the ads on your article page. The best part is, those earnings will only stay the same or go up from there. The high earnings make an average of $30 to $40 a day. Now even if I or those high earners stop posting they will still reach that $30 to $40 a day average. Now if that is not passive income, tell me what is.

I have also just recently been posting on a site called Bukisa. It is fairly new as of June 2009 so the owners are going through a lot of changes and with page rankings but it is an amazing site. It kind of works like Ehow except you are paid for how many page views you get. There is something on the site called a Bukisa Index and this is how they base there payments on the site. Say the index is 5 dollars, so that means every 1,000 page views you get you will receive 5 bucks. So the object of Bukisa is of course to get the most traffic (visitors) to your articles. They pay you on a monthly basis (like Ehow) through paypal (like Ehow). There are quite a few Bukisa articles appearing on the 1st page of search engines now (including my articles) so it is getting much better in terms of ranking. You should sign-up with Bukisa and Ehow to start making passive income from writing online.

Monthly Income Report: June 2009

PictureThis will be the first installment of my monthly income that I earn online. I am very excited to be posting this because I get to see where I earned and how I can improve for the next month. I hope this will also give you an idea of how to make money on the Internet. I will also write about things that I did during the month and how that would have effected my earnings. At the end I will probably write what I will do next. So I will write what I did in the month, my earnings, things I learned and what will happen the next month. I hope You will enjoy:

What I Did in June

This month I have been focusing a lot on Ehow and getting more articles on there. I have read so many successful stories that I wanted to maximize my articles and have proper SEO on each. I have been apart of Ehow since January but really did not start posting articles until mid May. My goal was to reach 500 articles my July and I come pretty close with about 487. I will probably just write the rest of them throughout July when I have the free time.

I also just recently changed my Web site greatly to the one you see now. It may take a few more changes as the months come along so I can have a better layout and implement Google Adsense.
I have been looking for ways to get my site more popular since I started but I have not been very successful. I only use the back links technique which is working some what but I will need to increase my page views. If I can increase my page views I will have more people Adsense earnings. I hope it will be that simple but nothing really is.

I signed up with Xomba and plan on writing mainly for that site this month. I want to get around 250 articles by the end of July to really see some substantial passive earnings come in. Xomba is a bit like eHow but the only thing is they share Adsense earnings with you. You simply sign-up your Adsense publishing number and start writing to make money. I have seen a good number of people earning a lot from Xomba so I will see how successful it is for me.

Advertising my Gpt sites will be another main goal for the July earnings. My hopes are to reach the minimums for my monthly sites and keep earning money from the daily ones. I have been doing fine with Gpt sites so far but no where near the ones who are earning $1,000+ from them.
OK I'll shut up now and Post my Earnings.

Income for June

eHow: $87.24
Bukisa: $8.69
Adsense: $1.77
Bidvertiser: $0
CashCrate: $0.70
TreasureTrooper: $2.95
GetPaidTo: $1.00
ChillinCash: $0.52
DealBarbiePaysFast: $0.34
CashTroops: $0.34

Total: $103.55

Not much but that month I was really focused on eHow. Now I will have more room to work on everything else (hopefully). I was really invested in eHow because I knew it was reliable.

What I Learned

It's important to find a place that you can work in peace. I was really struggling to look for a spot where I can sit down comfortably and do all of my work for the day. I tried going to the library, locked in my room upstairs, the living room downstairs and sometimes sitting on my bed. For me, the best place to do my work with efficiency and speed is at the library. I am not so distracted with all of the things I can do at my house and it is very quite. I think in July I will plan on making more frequent trips to the library and get friendly with the librarian.

Eating before you start working hard is a must for me. There were some days where I would forget to eat enough food and my brain would be gone in less than 2 hours. Eating a good nutrition filled food is great for the mind and body.

Breaks are really a great thing and something I need to take more of. I can get so much more done if I take a short 5 minute break and get back to work than if I force me to get it all done in one sitting.

Goals for This Month

In July I will be focus a lot more on Xomba, Bukisa and GPT sites. I will be trying to diversify my income streams and hopefully have money coming in from all of them. It may be a little bit more challenging for me because I have been use to working on just one site (eHow). But I'm sure I can get it done.

Goals for End of July

These goals are to keep me motivated and so I have something to work for. I may not reach all of them but I can try my hardest to come close.

Xomba: 250 articles
Gpt Sites: Reach the minimums
Bukisa: 500 page views a day

Thanks for Reading

How to Make More Money with Ehow Articles

Picture
I have been writing for Ehow since January of 2009 and have learned a lot from how to make money from it. It is a great site where many have earned various amounts of money every month. Some make only a few bucks, others in the hundreds and others in the $1,000+ a month club. I am no where near the $1,000 (yet) but I have read and done research on what the high earners have been writing about. Here is what I have learned:

Write for Keywords. One of the most important things about writing online in general is that you must make sure people can at least find it. Writing a book is much different than writing online. There is no need for long academic words, intellectual metaphors and phrases that would make Tennessee Williams cry. It is about making sure you have the right keywords in your title and your writing. This is how search engines rank a lot of web sites. How sites end up on the front page of search engines and others on page 22.

Write about products. It would help to write about something that people could buy because this can help you have more relevant ads. If you have an article about Plasma TV's there are more than likely going to be a few ads on them. Your articles don't have to all be about products but definitely write one if you are out of ideas.

Keep Writing. The more article you have the more money you will earn. It may be discouraging at times to only see a few cents come in at first. But you have to remember that Ehow is for a passive income stream which means it takes time, quality and quantity. Over time those few cents a day will turn to dollars. Write a large quantity of quality articles and your money will start increasing.

Give your Articles time. It takes time for your articles to really start earning money. The first few weeks are going to be slow because it is a new article and the search engines have to track it. So give it some good amount of time and you will see more views and in turn more money.

Promote your articles. There is one school of thought at Ehow that believes you should have a lot of articles and just keep writing. While others believe you should have a good amount of articles and then promote them. You can promote your articles on Digg, Reddit, or other social networking sites. It is a good way to get more page views and essentially more money.

How to Get More Traffic to Your Ehow Site

Picture
Ehow is an awesome place to earn money online. There are many ways to get traffic to your website. Some are easier then others but all of the ways can help you get more traffic and potentially earn more traffic. I have found a few ways that you can start getting more traffic to your existing articles and ways you can create traffic building ones.

Start By Writing a lot of articles. You will need to write at least 100 articles before you can get a good look and review how your articles are doing. Once you have a fair amount you can look back and see which ones are getting a lot of page views and which ones are not. Try to figure out why this is so. If you have an article that has 1,000 or more page views in one month that you could try writing an article off of that. Ex. Say an article that you wrote is 'How to Make Paper Airplanes" is getting a lot of page views. Write an article that deals with how to make a paper boat or how to fly in an Airplane. Can you see how many article possibilities you can write from your popular one?

Post related articles at the bottom. If you have a lot of articles on your Ehow account you might have articles that are related to each other. If not, you should definitely start because you can post related or similar articles at the bottom of your Ehow article. This will keep readers on Ehow and reading your articles which will help you earn more money.

Write about current events. Pay attention to the news to see what you can write about in an Ehow article. There were so many people writing different forms of "How to prevent Swine Flu" when the outbreak was spoken about on the news. So turn on your TV or open a news paper and check what are some topics that are being written about.

Use Wordtracker. You can use this site to look for keywords that people search for on search engines. This is usually where most of your traffic is coming from. You can simply type in a word like Tennis and see the score. If it is a good score then write an article that is related to tennis.

Use Google Trends. You may have to start early in the day if you want to use this effectively. Google Trends is basically a site that tells you what people are searching for on google at any specific day including today. They have an enormous list of what people have searched for on Google and even have history of what people searched for most in previous years. But you should be worried about the now. So look at what people have been searching for in the last two days. Usually if a topic is searched for yesterday that was in the top 10 searches, it will be in somewhere in todays.

Question For You: What do you do to get more traffic to your Ehow articles?

How to Write Articles on Ehow

PictureI have been looking for ways to make money online for a little over a year now. I found Ehow around the end of last year but never joined until January. I wish I did because I could have started earning a lot more money much earlier. I have been going through the posts and looking at different websites to see how good and reliable Ehow was to there writers. I didn't find one blog, website or review that hated writing for Ehow. I decided to write for this site to add another stream of income for making money online.

Ehow is a great place for writers (pros or newbies) to make money online. It is very easy to sign-up for an account and you can start posting articles the same day. You will need to provide your social security number (which means only people in the United States can join) your name, e-mail and paypal address. If you do not have a paypal address you need to get one because that is the way that Ehow pays there writers. Don't worry, paypal is free to join and you can transfer the funds straight to your bank account.

The best thing about Ehow is that you can write about almost everything. I don't think you can write about porn but I could be mistaken. If you have an idea about writing an article about shaving (maybe, How to shave without a Razor Blade) you can write about it. Ehow is a great place to earn some real passive income which is what I am always looking for. You can basically write an article and post it on Ehow 2 years ago and still earn money from it today. That is definitely passive income to a 'T.'

Ehow has a great community of writers in the forums. There are awesome people willing to help answer questions or form groups to help other writers do various things like learning about promoting your articles or making more money at Ehow. All of the writers there seem very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to make money at Ehow.
