Xomba: How to Earn Money with Xomblurbs

I wanted to write this article about Xomblurbs because I feel there is still a lot of things I don't know about Xomba. I have been a member for a few months now and have become aware of some of the top earners to the site. Some of these writers make over $1,000 in adsense income. Keep in mind, this is all residual income so even after they stop writing on Xomba (as long as Xomba is still running) they will still earn that money. I have donw some researched on Xomba and discovered a great deal about how to make money with them. Especially with using the Xomblurbs. Here is what I have discovered.

First of all, Xomblurbs are the short 50-word bookmarks you can write and include a link to whatever website you are promoting. It is a very easy 'article' to write and you can add a web url. If you want to learn more about Xomba read my post about here. Anyway, I found that the majority of content contributed by the top earners consisted of Xomblurbs. Some of these earners have a few hundred Xombytes (basic articles) and over 1,000 xomblurbs. As I said before, these writers make over $1,000 in residual income so they must be doing something correctly. After doing some research on Xomblurbs I found what are some good things you can post a Xomblurb about. Here they are:

Bookmark Your Articles From Other Sites:
I found that many writers on Xomba are bookmarking their articles from other websites like Ehow, Bukisa or Info Barrel. This is a great idea because you can earn from two sites rather than one. You willl earn a backlink for your article which search engines love. The backlink will increase your search engine optimization and will rank your articles higher on search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Also, you still have the opportunity to earn clicks from the ads placed on your Xomblurb bookmark. Some online earnings shake their heads when they see others bookmarking there own articles. Quite frankly, you have to make that decision for yourself.

Bookmark Amazon Affiliate Links:
I tremendous idea that I discovered a few days ago was that you can bookmark Amazon affiliate contextual ads. Bookmarking these is one of the best ideas because you don't have to worry about niche topics. If you were posting on a blog or website, your ads should be related to the topics you write about. However, if you are writing a post on Xomba you can post any Amazon product without worry. If you want more information about this you should check out my precious post.

Bookmark Coupons:
A great number of earners on Xomba post a great deal of coupons on the site. I would say that 3/4 of the content of one high earner simply bookmarks coupons. You may think that there may not be a great amount of money in doing this but there is. Also, keep in mind that there are ways you can earn money from getting readers to get the coupon. So the writer who is posting these coupons will earn from both Xomba and the coupon site. The great thing about bookmarking coupons is that they are easy to post and many people don't mind saving a $1 on products. You will be surprised how many page views you will get from posting a coupon about saving $1 on ice cream. Give it a try.

Bookmark Your Blog Posts:
If you own a blog you know how important it is to market that blog. Why not earn from two sites by bookmarking all of your blog posts. The more blog posts you have the better. You can still earn from Adsense by way of Xomba and if you have ads on your own blog you could earn more from there as well. Doing this will give you a backlink which is helpful for any blog.

Make Money on Amazon Affiliate with Xomba

So I was looking through Xomba getting ready to edit a few more of my articles. I got distracted by this post that one of the administrators posted. It was nothing too serious it was just a post about some of the changes that will occur with Xomba. It was all just to help Xomba writers increase their earning potential. Anyway, I saw a comment that asked about if it was fine to post Amazon Affiliate links in their articles and the admin (Nick) said it was fine. After I read that my brain really started spinning on how much potential could have with this.

You can post an infinite amount of Amazon affiliate links and and infinite amount of Xomba articles. I realized that I could post so many affiliate links and still earn a great deal of money from Xomba and Amazon at the same time. You can either post a short 50 word xomblurb about the product you are promoting or a long xombyte. You can post a small xomblurb (by the way, if you have know idea what a xomblurb or what xomba is to begin with, I suggest you read about what Xomba is by clicking here) about amazon products on sale, bestselling items or any special offers and then post your amazon link.

You can also post a Xombyte that relates to one or two Amazon products. For example, you could write about "how to buy a flatscreen tv that you'll enjoy.'' You can write about the difference between a plasma and an LCD screen, what features do they have, which screen is better for certain viewing options (some people may want to play more video games and action movies while another cutomer may watch more sports). After that you can post your Amazon affiliate link for a good lcd and a good plasma television. One of the best parts about being an Amazon Associate is that who clicked on your link doesn't have to buy THAT product in order to earn you commission. As long as that person buys anything (and Amazon knows how to get a visitor to buy something) you will earn a commission for it. And you will earn a commission on every product they buy in that session.

More Ways to Increase Your Amazon Affiliate Earnings

As I said in my last post I would give you some more tips on how to increase your Amazon Affiliate earnings. I have still been doing some research on it because I want to learn how just as much as you do. It has been a good learning experience and I feel I am ready to spread the knowledge of what I have learned. I hope These will help you earn more with Amazon Associates as it will with me. I must preface this by saying that you still have to work smart if you want to achieve your goals of making money online with any tactic. Here is what I have learned.

Promote discounts, sales realted to your content
Look into promoting discounts and special sales when working with Amazon associates. If you are just writing articles on a site like Xomba or Bukisa it is even better because you can post about any product that is on sale. You could write a review or make a simple Xomblurb and post your affiliate link. If you have a blog it might be a bit more difficult but if you keep your eyes open for site related sales definitely post them on your website. Sometimes, during holiday season (pre- and post-) you will see sale on several products. One of those products could be related to the content on your page.

Keep writing and posting affiliate links
An important thing to keep in mind with Amazon's Affiliate program (and with all aspects of making money online) is to always stay consistent. Keep posting your affiliate links and writing related topics to them. Just because there isn't a lot of money coming in yet doesn't mean it will stay that way. The key is you have to stay consistent. Maybe you could tell yourself you will want to make 1 new Amazon Affiliate link a day. Soon you will start to see clicks on your links, those clicks will convert into sales, you'll start earning a consistent amount of money and your earnings will continue to increase. Amazon is a very trustworthy site where millions of customers buy many products from. Trust me, if you make the links and get enough traffic to earn clicks Amazon will do all the work for you.

Use Widgets and Contextual ads
There are some bloggers, website owners and article writers who jsut believe in Widgets while others just use contextual ads. Some believe that because the Widgets have actual pictures of the Amazon logo people will be more trustworthy of the link. Those same people also say that contextual ads lack the beauty needed to attract readers and lose the clicks that could potentially turn over to a sail. The other half believe that contextual ads are better because they are more personal and can be placed almost anywhere on the Internet. Those folks believe that the huge Amazon Widget can be easily ignored because it looks like just another ad. Honestly, it will not hurt your site or articles if you give them both a try. Use certain ads where they will recieve the best click relevancy to earn you money.

Be Bold with your ads

If you want to make money online you will have to be bold with where you place any kind of ad. You can't expect to make a dime if all your ads are hiding in a corner of your website. Really put that widget or that contextual ad in a place where readers can have easy access to them. This will tremendously increase your Amazon Associates click rate so you can start earning money online.

Time
It's cliche because it is true, "all good things come to those who wait.'' So even when you have those days when you check your Amazon Associates account and see no sales just keep working on it. Think of it as a snowball coming down a hill; it starts as a little speck and soon it will get larger and move faster. That is how it is with almost any site in the residual income field. So keep working smart and 'stay consistent' with it.

Make sure the products you promote are good quality ones
Now just because you are promoting your heart out on the Internet does not mean it is always a good thing. This can happen more with a lot of people who are just writing short articles or bookmarks and place there affiliate link on it. The product may have only got 2 stars, 4 bad reviews and all the sellers could be bad too. That reader that clicked on your link is probably getting ready to walk out that digital door. SO make sure the products you are making affiliate links for have a good amount of positive feedback.

I hope these tips helped you figure out some ways to increase your Amazon Affiliate earnings. I may come back to this subject in a few weeks and show you how I am doing. Thanks for reading

Ways to Increase Amazon Affiliate Earnings

I've been using Amazon for a bit but still haven't been able to 'figure it out.' Which is why I am writing this article to learn how to do it. I have been researching on the web about how to make money with Amazon Associates and have accumulated a fair amount of information. There is a great deal of things that I am missing and I'm glad I did do the research to learn how to improve upon my mistakes. I hope that you will learn something as well by reading this post. OK, here we go:

Customize Your html code:

Make sure that if you are using the banner ads like the widgets that you blend it in with your website. This is a good thing because you can make your amazon links not look like ads which will make your reader ignore them easier. Also, this will help you because it will make your site look more professional.

Make sure the products relate to your site:

Customize the products that will end up on your site if you are not using contextual ads. If you have banner ads that show four or five products some of the links my be completely unrelated to your site. If you have a blog about football sporting gear it wouldn't make any sense to have products related to deep sea diving or new music CD's. If you have a website, you know that importance of keeping your site very niche and towards a certain audience. So why not have your products from Amazon be on your site too. It is only wise to have that done to help increase click rate and sale conversions.

Review certain products you have used:
If you know of any products that you have used at Amazon give them a proper review. Maybe you have read a book, electronic products, bought a video recorder, etc. give it a review and include a link to amazon for the product. Just be sure your review is thorough enough for readers to actually want to buy the product. You don't really have to have a website to do this either. You can write a review of a product on sites like Bukisa or Xomba if you wanted. People like to read reviews because they want to know what they can expect if they wish to buy it. Try to review a products that may have a sale or discount price on them. Or, try to review products that are selling fast because they are already popular.

Have A good amount of Traffic:
Having a good amount of traffic coming to your site is key if you want to make money online in general. But it is even more important if you want to make money with Amazon Associates. The more traffic you have coming to your site (or articles) the better rate of conversions to sales you will have. So keep writing or posting on your blog, Ehow, Xomba, Bukisa, Infobarrel or where ever you make money online to increase your traffic. It can not be stress enough how important it is that you have visitors coming in if you want to be successful at being an Amazon Affiliate. If you have a good amount of Amazon Affiliate links on the web and earning traffic to them you will see the sales come in.

Get readers into the buying mood:
As you already know, Amazon is a place on the web where you go to purchase products. If you want them to buy products from Amazon you will have to get visitors in (or who are already in) the buying mood. For example, say you have a blog about all the technical aspects of making independent movies. You are going to write about all the things you may need to make a movie; that may include film locations, setting mood, editing, ways to get sound effects, etc. Though your site might be good and are earning a good amount of visitors everyday they still are not in that buying mood. You will have to write about great cameras to film on, sound equipment, lighting equipment or other filming equipment that will be helpful/necessary on a film shoot. You can then include your Amazon affiliate links to get people to visit amazon. You can make top ten lists of the Best Cameras to Film on for Cheap or whatever you can think of and include affiliate links to all of them to Amazon. This will get visitors looking to buy products to your site and click on your affiliate links to earn you your commission.

Let amazon do it's thing:
Once you get visitors to click on your link, if they buy anything on Amazon you will earn a commission for that. Which is great if they took a look at the product you were promoting but deciding to buy a different one. Also, you will earn a commission for every other product they buy after they click on your affiliate link. I usually buy more than one item when I shop at Amazon and I know several others do as well. The best thing about being an Amazon Affiliate is that the website is very well known and trusted by many people. If you are big in the affiliate marketing world, you may know of sites like ClickBank and Commission Junction. Some of the products on these sites may be harder to get a sale from because they are unknown products and are sold from an unknown site. With Amazon, you don't need to worry about any of those issues. Just get your visitors in that 'door' and let Amazon do what it does best.

Include Best Sellers Lists:
Take a look at some of the best sellers list on several well established sites like New York Times, Barns&Nobles or (of course) Amazon. They are a great way to see what people are buying and there may be some products that are related to your site. Back to the movie example, you could post on your site the top ten best selling video cameras and include your Amazon affiliate link for all of them. Make sure you keep updating this page every few weeks as they will change and fluctuate from time to time. This can help you earn a good amount of sells because a 'best sellers' list automatically tells a customers several things: the product works and people like the product a lot.

Hope these tips helped you in some way. I will be adding more tips on How to make money with Amazon Associates so stay posted. Good Luck with these tips for now.

Amazon Associates: First Impression

So I just signed-up with Amazon associates and I am really excited about the program. As you can see I just added one of there widgets to my blog and plan on finding other ways to place my amazon widgets. I really enjoyed the layout of the site and how easy it was to navigate.

There are a few ways that I can get payed through Amazon associates and I think I'm going to go withe the Direct Deposit. You can get payed by check but they only pay you quarterly and there is a 15 dollar processing fee. On top of that you have to wait until you earn $100 dollars. You can also get payed with an Amazon gift card. Even though I do shop online often at Amazon (which is a reason that I am proud to be an affiliate of them) I don't want to start earning a couple hundred dollars a month and just pay for Amazon products. I want to use the Direct Deposit because it goes start to my bank account, it's fast, there is no processing fee and the minimum is only $10. Amazon might as well should have said "Come on, just do the direct deposit and get your money fast. You're gonna waste time and money getting a check in the mail ever quarter of a year."

I want to make a substantial stream of income using Amazon Associates. Therefore, I may start posting a lot of articles on Hubpages because you can add your Amazon Id to earn money. I may not be able to start that goal for a while because I still have a lot of articles to post on my other various article sites. I'm just really excited that I have so much work ahead of me in terms of making money online and so many streams to maximize. I believe in all of the programs I am apart of and know I can maximize each of them to really increase my earnings.

I'll keep you updated on my progress with Amazon affiliates but I may not be able to even start until the end of the year. Hope that gives you an idea of how busy I am with everything. Hope you enjoyed the post.

My First Impression of Hubpages

I just joined another online writing website called Hubpages. I knew about hubpages for a long time but never gave it the time of day. It just seemed like it wasn't my cup of tea. But now I am a member and I hope to make some solid income with the website. I've read a couple of posts that say hubpages has earned them quite the income.

I will need to join other sites if I wanted to make money online with Hubpages. The site kind of works like Infobarrel and Xomba does where you are paid through Adsense. However, at Hubpages you are not just paid through adsense but through Amazon Associates, Ebay, Kontera and Analytics. That is 5 different ways you can earn revenue from hubpages. I'm sure that Hubpages takes a percentage if your earnings but I just don't know how much they take.

I have been browsing Hubpages for a bit and I really see some potential with it. They really know how to have a good layout and really increase a pages Click Through Rate (CTR). I've read on a few earnings reports people are earning a little over $1,000 a month through hubpages. This may include Adsense, Amazon, Ebay and Kontera earnings. I've already learned a bit about Hubpages but want to share it with you when I write my first few hubs.

I do notice the Hubpages ranks fairly high on the search engines. I searched for a couple topics and a few hubs ranked number 1 on a few of them. Therefore, I know I can earn a lot of visitors which will turn into more revenue for me.

Along with the revenue you earn from Hubpages I also noticed something called a Flagship Hub. These hubs are suppose to be written with extreme high quality and Hubpages will pay you $25 directly into your paypal account. That is an easy (well, not too easy) $25 bucks of upfront payment from Hubpages.

I'm going to try and start writing a few hubs later in the month to see how I do. I already have a lot of stuff I need to finish before I can get to hubpages. I'll keep you updated and try and write about a few tips on maximizing your profits with hubpages once I figure it out. Hope you enjoyed the post.

Join Amazon Associates to Make Money Online

As I said in my July earnings report, I plan on making money with an affiliate marketing site. I was looking at sites like ClickBank and CommissionJunction and was about to join them. Then, I found another affiliate marketing site called Amazon Associates. Basically, many of the products on Amazon will let you earn a commission if you promote them and people buy products. I am going to join Amazon Associates now and I have many reasons why.

First, Amazon is a very trusted Internet shopping website that many people have probably used before. I have shopped on Amazon before and bought a great deal of products from the site. Therefore, it would be much easier to promote products on Amazon rather than from an unknown site.

Amazon Associates also gives you a great deal of ways to advertise using html codes and banners. Sites like ClickBank will only give you an affiliate link which does not help the beauty of your website. It's also much easier to promote anything when you have a banner that shows the reader what they want to see rather than just posting "CLICK HERE and buy This eBOOK about..." Why do you think there is so much success with Adsense and such.

I will join Amazon Associates and start finding a few products to promote so I can start earning some money online from another stream. It is such a great feeling when I find another stream of income that has the potential to earn me even more money online. I'll keep you updated on how I do with Amazon Associates.
