Monthly Income Report: October 2009

Here is my next post about my earnings that I make online. In these posts I write about what I did in that month, my earnings and what I plan on doing to increase my earnings next month. I know I didn't post my September Income report which was a bad idea on my part. The thing is I haven't been able to do a lot of work online because I've been preoccupied offline. But I'm here and trying to make up for a lost month of none income reporting. I really hope you enjoy this post on my monthly income. It is probably one of my favorite things to post about.

Keep in mind though, I did make about the same amount of income in September that I did in August. So there was no huge increase or decrease in earnings for the month of September. I also didn't really do anything new in terms of tactics to increase my earnings (which is probably why I earned the same amount of income).

October was a fine month for me and I got a good amount of work accomplished. The main thing that I have been doing for this month was more on the editing side. I have been tweaking and fixing all of my articles online rather than posting new ones. I already have a great deal of articles spread throughout the Internet so I was having trouble coming to grips with why my income did not increase. I have over 500 pages of content on the web as of now but did not make a great deal of money. Some writers say you should be making at least a dollar a day on each of your articles. As you will tell by this report I am far from that number. So I began to browse and read through many successful online writer blog's and articles. I just wanted to see what they were doing that I was not really getting. I am still a bit of a noob when it comes to online writing so I am always looking for helpful hints.

There were a few things that I saw and read that I clearly was not doing. I have been bookmarking many of my articles on Xomba and Redgage but that is not the only thing I should be doing. I saw that many writers also post related articles at the bottom of the Ehow articles, post there referral link on Xomba articles, post comments on other Redgage content and a few other things that I was not accomplishing. So I decided to edit all of my existing articles before I continue with new posts. I think I can really boost my earnings by at least $200 every month if I do this correctly. Before I get into that let me show you my income report:

Earnings Report for October:

Ehow: $93.56
Bukisa: $8.16
Adsense (Xomba, Infobarrel, Hubpages): $7.18
Amazon Associates: $0.00
CashCrate: $21.03
TreasureTrooper: $0.00

Total: 129.93 (1.02 increase)

I made about a dollar increase this month from August. I know it is really not a lot of money at all. But it is an on going process that I really have a lot of faith (through hard work) in.

What I Learned In October:

I learned that you have to work smart as well as hard. You can't just post hundreds of articles on a site and expect to rake in the money. Especially if this is your first time on 'the job.' All of the great investors and millionaires (Rockefeller) started from nothing but worked hard to achieve an empire. The thing is I need to work smart now that I have a good amount of articles on the world wide web.

Goals for November:

This month I am going to really continue on editing all of my articles on the internet. I have a lot of things to tweak about them that I am going to outline here. I am going to edit my Ehow, Bukisa and Xomba articles. The main thing I will do is post related content at the end of all of my articles and tweak my keywords. Also, at the end of my Bukisa and Xomba articles I will post my referral link so I can increase my network. I am also going to continue bookmarking all of my articles on Xomba and Redgage. So here it is:

Edit Articles For:
Ehow (Related Content, Keywords)
Xomba (Related Content, Keywords, Referral Link)
Bukisa (Related Content, Keywords, Referral Link)

Bookmark Articles For:
Ehow
Xomba
Bukisa
Hubpages
Infobarrel

I hope you enjoyed my post. I will try to update my blog more often and not have that two month hiatus again. Leave comments about what you think and if I should change any of my tactics.

Wonderful post from your money making blog. This is a good idea...I would like to do the same...I just don't know if it is allowed by google adsense to post your earnings? Do you know for sure?

Thanks,
Tammy
